Graduated "66", attended Ohio University (2 yrs), Graduated from Youngstown State (Golf Scholarship), moved to Austin, Texas to pursue a career in Mortgage Banking and have spent the majority of my years in Austin since. I was fortunate enough to have lived in Dallas, Atlanta and Charlotte during my career ... even more fortunate to get back to Austin to finish my working years ... retirement is not in my future!

School Story

Too many stories with so many great classmates to pick one in particular, however, one "funny" memory I can share now ...
As the only freshman on the golf team that qualified for the state tourney @ the OSU Scarlet golf course, the seniors pushed their car from the hotel parking lot to leave me stranded with Coach Chonko. Their quest for adult beverages in Columbus was unsuccessful and returned to the hotel to find "Rev Chonko" and me watching TV, eating pizza and drinking cold beer. We felt sorry for them, shared the pizza but not the adult beverages!

I didn't meet Mike until we were freshman at UHS. With him living on the Northside he knew a lot of girls from Rayen & Liberty which was a plus as far as I was concerned. Mike was an excellent golfer too and with me playing football, we kindof bonded as only athletes can. We did lose track of each other when he moved to Texas, however we were always able to connect at various reunions. The 50th was the best! Afterward, we would text throughout the Football Season, about his beloved Texas Longhorns who unfortunately for him were in a slump and me about my old team Wake Forest. (Plus my hatred for notre dame which he'd laugh about). We had plans for me coming down for us to go to a Texas game this Fall, that would've been fun. I miss Mike. May he rest in peace.
