Julie and I were good friends starting from our St.Christine days in the third grade.  In fact we were friends with her whole family.  As adults, we attended Mass together at Father Madden's in God's Back Yard. We became friends with her husband and I believe her daughter as well.  In 1984 I made weekly and then monthly trips to the Cleveland Clinic to see my doctor.  Julie, unfortunately, had Lupus Desease and spent time in the Clinuc at the same time I was using their out-patient services.  I got to visit her several times while she was a patient. I didn't  know much about Lupus, but I knew she was suffering yet she remained so sweet and kind and happy to see me.  My father-in-law used to say when we do something kind we do it as much for the good feeling we receive as the good feelings we leave with the other person. Reflecting now on my visits with Julie, I know that was true for me.  God bless you, my friend Julianne Fox Hammar.
