Joyce Johnson Vesy

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Church, Berea, for Mrs. Joyce Vesy, 41, of 728 Wyleswood Drive, Berea, formerly of Youngstown, who died of a heart ailment Thursday afternoon at Southwest General Hospital, Middleburg Heights.

Mrs. Vesy was born March 5, 1948 in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles and Susan McLaughlin Johnson.  She attended Youngstown schools and Youngstown State University where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.  She had worked at the Berea Public Library and also the Porter Library in Westlake.  She was a member of the church and the Friends of the Library.

She leaves her mother of Boardman; her husband, Timothy; a daughter, Miss Kerry, and a son, Brian, both at home; a brother, Charles Johnson of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jeanne Zimmerman and Mrs. Rita White, both of Youngstown.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Baker Funeral Home, Berea.  The family asks that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Berea Library.

I did not realize that Joyce wes so young when she passed away.  What a tragedy for everyone who was lunky enough to be involved with her.  She was a great girl and I'm sure an equally great woman.  My deepest sympathies.
