GREGORY YABLONOVSKY

Dr. Gregory Joseph Yablonovsky of Toledo, age 58, entered our Father's Kingdom on February 4, 2007, while surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born in Youngstown on May 9, 1948, Greg was the second-oldest of the 11 children of Martin M. and Helen (Rezelj) Yablonovsky.

On June 10, 1972, he married the love of his life, Marlene Ann Scott, in Sioux City, Iowa.Greg graduated from Ursuline High School, Youngstown, in 1966 and from Palmer College, Davenport, Iowa, in 1975.  Licensed to practice in both Ohio and Michigan, he opened his first Chiropractic office on Reynolds Road in Toledo in 1979.  In 1983, he moved his practice to its current location on Summit Street in Point Place.

Greg was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the North West Ohio Chiropractic Association, the Ohio State Chiropractic Association, and served on the OSCA Ethics Committee for several terms.  He was a member of the Point Place Business Association.

Our Heavenly Father blessed Dr. Greg with many gifts; most important to him was by working through his hands to help heal his patients.  He loved them all.  He was awarded a memorial fund for chiropractic care for those less fortunate, by Betty Kinney, who so believed in chiropractic and Dr. Greg.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark, Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Marlene, and precious dog, Cody; sisters Judy (Rick) Scenna, of Canfield, OH, and Carol Yablonovsky, Paula (Rick) Wozniak, Mary Jo (Bill) Orr, Marcia (Brian) Neiss, Aggie Deitsch, and Nancy Lucy, all of Hubbard, OH; brothers, Dr. Martin (Erline) Yablonovsky of Diamond Springs, CA, and Joseph (Monie) Yablonovsky, of Austintown, OH; sister-in-law, Dorothy (John) Dahlin and brother-in-law, Richard (Julie) Scott, both of Sioux City, IA;  "Toledo family" John and Darcey Baertschi, Dr. Dan and Cindy Doss, Patricia Marok, Pat Sarver, and Herb Stimson; 32 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-8 pm in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 E. Alexis Rd, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm.  Visitation will continue on Thursday from 4-8 pm in the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, 407 W. Liberty Street, Hubbard, Ohio.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hubbard.  Interment St. John Catholic Cemetery, Lowellville, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the animal shelter of the donor's choice.
