ROBERT E. SLIPKOVICH

 

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home in Youngstown for Robert E. Slipkovich, 54, of Flo-Lor Drive, who passed away early Sunday at Forum Health Northside Medical Center following a short illness.

He was born Dec. 12, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Peter & Florence Mayer Slipkovich.

Mr. Slipkovich graduated from Ursuline High School in 1966 and was a plumber at Conti Plumbing, serving as a foreman for 35 years.

He was of the Catholic faith and attended Sts. Peter & Paul Croatian Catholic Church.  He was also a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local No. 396.

Mr. Slipkovich leaves a son, Robert Jr. of Canfield; and two daughters, Shelli (Bob) Stevens of Niles and Dana (Dan) Phillips of Austintown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Very sad to here of Bob's passing,

I worked at Lowellville Schools for 38 yrs. I know the Conti family very well, I had no idea that Bob worked so near to me

Ronald Mullins

A few of us had cars while we attended Ursuline. By and large, the cars we drove were rusted beaters but Bob drove a shiny, new '65 GTO inspiring the admiration of myself, Dick Sabatine and others. Bob, may God grant you eternal rest.
