Terrance A. "Terry" Tarantino

CORTLAND - Terrance A. "Terry" Tarantino, 66, formerly of Liberty Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday night, Jan. 9, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Terrance was born Aug. 12, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph H. and Wanda Jankowski Tarantino, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1966 graduate of Ursuline High School and attended Youngstown State University.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, and he worked for Best Buy in Boardman and in Niles for 17 years.

He was a member of St. Robert Church in Cortland.

Terry leaves his wife, Mary K. Glista Tarantino, whom he married Oct. 16, 1976; his daughter, Sophia Tarantino at home; his mother, Wanda Tarantino; two brothers, Joseph H. Jr. (Julie) Tarantino of Austintown and Damian Tarantino of Boardman; two sisters, Tonia Mikula (Donald "Scott" DeArment) of Liberty Township and Valerie (Fred) Setneska of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

His son, Marcus A. Tarantino, and his father, preceded him in death.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on SUNDAY, Jan. 18, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on MONDAY.

Interment with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Due to Terry's untimely death, his family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution do so by donating to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
