Always friendly toward each other, Mike and I became fast friends when together we worked at Falcon Transport. Mike had been with Falcon since its inception and I was a flunky dispatcher. Mike had the privilege of parking his tractor at the main office where I was while other drives parked way over in West Middlesex. During the height of the priest scandal, Mike and I took turns saying to each other, "Bless me Father for I have sinned." What always followed was something light and humorous. Definitely though we had a routine worthy of late night TV. Leaping ahead a few years, at the Youngstown Club part of our reunion, I knew Mike was very ill and tried my best to get past the frolicking at the bar and into the dinning room to spend just a minute or two to see him and assure him he was in my thoughts, no longer twisted like before but as a sincere friend keeping him in my prayers. When finally I got to the dining room door, Mike had left and I never saw him again. Patty Guarnieri, George's wife, put her finger in my chest to make the point that I should be at the Croation Club the next night because we are at an age where the pace of our demise is accelerating. I went, but the one person I most wanted to see was not there.

Have known Mike since we were kids playing baseball at Evans Field, in our neighboorhood he was "big Mike"

nicest guy you could ever meet.

Mike was a friend of mine since I started at Ursuline. We competed against each other in parochial sports when he was at St. Cyril's and I was at IHM. So we were acquaintances when we both began attending Ursuline and became friends shortly thereafter. We both remained local after graduation and would run into each other occasionally and he was always genuinely happy to see me.  I remember spending almost the entire evening with him at our first anniversary party just bringing each other up to date on our lives after graduation. He was a real outgoing guy and we both shared the same earthy sense of humor. I remember Dwight Peterson, Mike, myself and others cutting up at Ursuline. He was so funny. What a gem we lost in Mike.
