ORANGE PARK, FLA. - A prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Mrs. Marianne Kralj, who died Monday at the Cleveland Clinic.
 
Marianne was born July 23, 1947, in Youngstown, a daughter of Alfred and Jane (Hamley) Stoops.
 
She was a 1966 Ursuline High School graduate.
 
Marianne was a member of the St. Christine Church and worked many years in medical billing.
 
She married the love of her life, Alex Kralj, on Aug. 5, 1967, and moved to Orange Park, four years ago to be by their daughters and their families.
 
Marianne was a member of the St. Catherine of Sienna and was very active in the church. On Thursdays, Marianne and Alex helped with the Bingo and card games for senior citizens. She was also involved with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Ladies group that supported the Knights Of Columbus.
 
Marianne’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. If she could, she would have spent every minute with them.
 
Marianne leaves her husband, Alex; her three daughters, Lisa (John) Lucansky, Amy (Rick) Eplawy of Palm Coast, Fla., and Janeen Bosi of St. Augustine, Fla.; five grandchildren, Alex Lucansky, Anna and Mira Eplawy, Yvan and Aden Bosi; two brothers, Bob (Joann) Stoops of Struthers and Jimmy Stoops of Canfield; her two sisters-in-law, Dee Stoops and Sandy Stoops; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Alex; and her two brothers, Paul and Ron Stoops.
 
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marianne to St. Catherine of Sienna, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073.
 
Friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
